Topic Central aims to make explanations accurate, readable and clear about what is known. Each article should give readers enough context to follow its reasoning and enough detail to check its limits.
Accuracy and clarity
Writers should check names, dates, definitions and other factual details against suitable sources before publication. Claims should be stated no more broadly than the supporting information allows. Technical terms are explained where they first matter, and examples are not presented as proof of a wider rule.
Independence and interests
Editorial decisions are made for reader understanding, not to disguise a commercial interest. Any relevant relationship that could affect an article's presentation should be disclosed clearly. Paid or partner material is identified as such, kept distinct from independent editorial work and not presented as an independent recommendation.
Corrections
Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review the specific claim and amend an article when a correction is warranted. Material changes should be described in the article so readers can tell what was changed; wording or formatting edits that do not alter meaning may be made without a correction note.
Images and illustrations
Images should not be used to imply evidence they do not show. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when an illustration is AI-generated, it should be labelled clearly. Illustrations are not a substitute for documented evidence or a photograph of a claimed real event.
